We had a great time – as Vinny mentioned in his earlier post, we didn’t hit as many pubs this year. I had the most fun at Hooz Cocktails on Babcock Road, followed by The Whiskey – unfortunately, I don’t recall exactly where that one was. ;)

July 21st, 2012Dust off your /var/pub/krawl shirts!!! Sarah and Geoff are getting hitched!!!!
This event is going to be an all night pub krawl hitting various bars and clubs down town. It starts at Alamo Street Eat Bar (formerly known as Acapulco Drive-In).
Please invite any friends you wish to, there is no limit. However, children should be left at home – sry folks. :(
After a few beers and some eats there, we will walk (or run) to various fun bars in the down town area. I advise you to dress comfortably – shorts and tennis shoes would be best since it will probably be a warm night and we will be doing a lot of walking.
We have done this before and usually hit 10-12 bars by the time the night is over. Come out and see if you can hang! The goal is to impress the bride and groom with your staying power! :)
For the safety of all involved, we recommend you make arrangements for a cab, or maybe even book a room at a downtown hotel. Use the discussion group here to make such arrangements if you want to split costs with other party members.

2010 Fiesta Beethoven Maennerchor Coming Up!
April 7th, 2010OK everyone, start stretching those livers out! It’s time once again for San Antonio’s finest Fiesta event, and that is the Fiesta Gartenfest held on April 23, 2010 at the Beethoven Maennerchor. It’s basically a German biergarten with all the trimmings: food, beer, music, and dance.

Our staging/camping area will once again be provided by our hospitable and very gracious hosts, Neal and Kirsten. Remember, don’t drink and drive. Either take a cab, or pitch a tent in Neal’s front yard!

February 12th, 2010The weather was bad this year so we didn’t hit as many locations as we usually do.
Despite the weather we had a great time and a a very good turnout.
We spent a couple of hours at Hooz Cocktails on Babcock Road and then we moved down the street to “The Whiskey” (Whiskey Smith’s). We finally moved on to Tabooze for 24 ounce Dos Equis schooners, followed by Sparky’s Pub and then wrapped it up across the street with nachos and burgers at Luther’s Cafe (I think).

Members have suggested that Pub Krawl be moved to Nov 6th
October 21st, 2009In leiu of Halloween and other events, we propose that pub krawl be held on Nov 6th instead of Oct 23rd.
So now that we have a new date, we need some suggestions/ideas..
